Mammoth Adventure Series| February 15| A Night for the Arctic Refuge

I’m looking forward to Thursday night in Mammoth. Hope you can make it!

The Annual Winter Adventure Series continues….up next is “A Night for the Arctic National Refuge,” Brennan Lagasse, Ski Mountaineer and Educator, Lake Tahoe CA. Join us Thursday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m. for a pre-presentation reception in the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center followed by Brennan’s presentation at 7:00 p.m. in the Mammoth Lakes Ranger Station auditorium.

Brennan joined a team that traveled to the Coastal plain, one of the most contested regions in the Arctic National Refuge, to raise awareness of the people, wildlife and landscape. The team supported an Italian ski mountaineer Ario Z’Hoo as he circumnavigated the Coastal plain. Come hear about Brennan’s travel story to a remote harsh landscape, and gain an understanding of why the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is important not only to the regional community but to everyone.

In addition to Brennan’s presentation, a short presentation by one of Brennan’s students who worked in the Refuge.
